WeDeliverPeriod teamed up with the Missions of Senegal, Uganda, Canada, and Nigeria, and UNFPA to organize an event commemorating Universal Children’s Day to raise awareness to ensure more girls experience the dignity they deserve, remain in school, and are less vulnerable to poor health and safety outcomes.
The side-event focused on: 1) The scale of the problem and challenges in addressing MHM in countries around the world; 2) MHM strategies currently undertaken in different countries and best practices to emulate; and 3) Opportunities to support academia, civil society organizations, nonprofits and non-governmental organizations engaged in addressing MHM around the world.
